Led development of OpenStream for start-up N2 Broadband– the first Open Standards based VOD system – including engineers from various internal engineering teams and contributors from various consulting and contracting groups.

  • Products included video-on-demand Back Office and VOD Client software for Motorola set-tops
  • Directly managed 4-6 key N2 Engineering staff along with cross team resources
  • Oversaw multiple 3rd party contractors, consultants and suppliers
  • Coordinated Motorola Acadia certification required for go-to-market
  • This flagship product generated over $125 million to date

Pace Micro Americas, Boca Raton, FL                                                      2000-2002

Engineering Program Director

Led US Engineering efforts to introduce Pace cable set-top technology to the US for SA Head-end markets.

  • Managed staff of over thirty engineers and technicians, which delivered a new set-top for the cable industry ‘PowerKey’ (Scientific-Atlanta) market and allowed Pace to capitalize on new US markets
  • Lead development teams for both client/server components as well as embedded CPE devices
  • Formed engineering ‘tiger team,’ which resulted in rapid delivery of an Electronic Program Guide for Time Warner Cable and saved company severe performance penalties
  • Negotiated complex agreements including development agreements with competitors, which facilitated project completion
